RCC doctor to be honoured

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Major B. Mirza Hussain, Assistant Professor, Medical Oncology Wing of the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, will be honoured by the Sainik Welfare Department as part of its programme of felicitating ex-servicemen who have been able to make a mark outside.

A native of Kollam, Major Hussain holds MD degrees in General Medicine and Radiotherapy and a DM in Medical Oncology, an official spokesman said here. He is also a gold medallist from the Gujarat University. Major Hussain is being honoured for services rendered in the area of cancer treatment.
