High-level meet on farm issues in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, has said that he will convene a meeting of high-level officials to discuss various outstanding issues in the farm sector.

Speaking to newspersons here at the end of the Cabinet meeting on Monday, the Chief Minister said the Chief Secretary, the Director - Agriculture, the Agricultural Production Commissioner, Principal Secretaries of the departments of Finance, Agriculture and Revenue and representatives of farmer organisations will attend the meeting.

Mr Chandy said 6,000 complaints received at the district-level public contact programme held recently in Kozhikode had pertained to issues in the farm sector.
