THE next edition of the Hannover Industry Fair, which remains the world's leading showcase for industrial technology, is to be held from April 11 to 15, 2005.

The fair, which provides a comprehensive presentation of industrial automation technology worldwide, will bring together eleven trade fairs at a single venue. Each of these international events is the top trade show in its field, both in terms of size and depth of coverage, said Mr Wolfgang Pech, Managing Director, Hannover Fair.

Over 6,000 exhibitors from 60 countries will present their latest developments for all sectors of the industry on a display area of around two lakh square metres, he said.

The fair will focus on production automation and process automation as well as on power transmission and control technology said Mr Pech. An official of the Engineering Export Promotion Council said that around 70 Indian firms are likely to participate in the fair.
