Chidambaram to launch self-help groups in Dakshina Kannada

Mangalore , Nov. 26

THE Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, will launch 1,503 self-help groups - promoted by the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) and Corporation Bank — at Kinnigoli in Dakshina Kannada district on November 28.

A Corporation Bank release said here that Dr D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, would preside over the function. Mr K. Cherian Varghese, Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, would also take part.
