Kolkata , Nov. 25

NEW Horizons India Ltd, a 80:20 joint venture of the Shriram Group and the California-headquartered New Horizons Worldwide Inc, has unveiled plans to garner a share of the Indian market for corporate and retail IT training.

The US company, stated to be the world's largest IT training company in revenue terms with a global turnover of $500 m (around Rs 2,250 crore) , has a network of 270 centres spread across 52 countries, according to Mr Ajay Sharma, President & CEO of New Horizons India Ltd.

Speaking to newspersons here while inaugurating New Horizon's Kolkata centre, Mr Sharma said the company specialises in corporate IT training. Eighty per cent of its global revenue is accounted for by corporate customers. In India, however, there would be a 50:50 mix in revenues from corporate and retail customers.

New Horizons India has already established its presence in 10 cities in India. The idea is to establish a network of 100 centres across the country within the next three years. In the current fiscal, revenue from the Indian operations is expected to touch $5 million.
