IIM-K annual management seminar from tomorrow

THE past decade in India has seen changes like never before. This has thrown up unforeseen challenges to the industry, forcing them to look into newer ways of satisfying ever-changing customer needs.

In this backdrop IIM-Kozhikode is organising the annual management seminar, Horizons 2004, with the theme, Changing Times - Changing Paradigms. Innovation and change has become a norm and a pre-condition for survival and growth. This year's theme is an attempt to focus on the emerging trends, strategies and changes in the business world in response to the changes in the economic and business environment, a press release from the Institute has said.

Into its fifth year, the event will be hosted at the IIM-Kozhikode campus between November 27 and 28. The event is sponsored by ONGC, KSIDC, Indian Oil and Indian Bank and supported by FICCI. Business Line is the media partner for the event.

Horizons' 04 will feature a series of presentations from distinguished leaders across diverse fields. The speakers include Mr Bharat Doshi, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra, Mr D.K. Ghosh, Executive Director, Siemens India, Mr V.J. Prakash, MD, European Operations, Moser Baer, Mr B.B. Chakrabarthi, Professor of Finance, IIM-Calcutta, Mr Arun Mittal, Head Corporate Treasury, Citibank and Mr Naren Chandra, Head Marketing, International Business, ICICI Bank.

These presentations will be followed by question and answer sessions with participation from the faculty and students of premier Business Schools, executives from industry and government, business and management consultants as well as entrepreneurs, the release said.
