PFC meeting tomorrow

KOCHI: The Union Minister for Power, Mr P.M. Sayeed, will inaugurate the 13th one-day meeting of the Power Finance Corporation (PFC) here on Friday at Hotel Le Meridien.

The Chairmen of various State Electricity Boards, State Power Utilities, Energy Secretaries and senior power sector officials from State and Central Governments will attend the meeting.

The objective the meeting is to have better understanding of the expectations which the State utilities and State Governments may have from PFC and evolve a common strategy to reorient the operations of PFC vis-à-vis State utilities for a mutually-beneficial and faster growth.

In the last 12 meetings, several suggestions were received from various power officials, and most of them have been implemented
