Eicher eyes Rs 2,000-cr turnover this fiscal

EICHER Motors Ltd has targeted total sales of Rs 2,000 crore this fiscal, up from Rs 1,565 crore last year riding on the launch of a range of vehicles.

Addressing a press conference here today to announce the launch of its newest offering Eicher 2015, a 15-tonne bus chassis, the Area Manager of Eicher Motors, Mr R. Mohan, said: "The company is expanding its marketing network, which already has more than 930 contact points across the country and more than 7,000 company trained private mechanics. We plan to add another 100 contact points within this financial year," he said.

The new product is priced at Rs 7.6 lakh and the bus chassis can be designed to seat up to 69 passengers, Mr Mohan said.
