Hyderabad to host global food and beverage exhibition

A high profile exhibition to showcase the best in the processed foods industry will be held in Hyderabad during December 10-13. World of Food India 2004 organised by Koelnmesse GmbH and its Indian subsidiary Cidex Trade Fairs, will include participants and exhibitors from all over the world. A large number of exhibitors, mainly corporates in the food and drinks segment are expected to participate.

The event, to be held at the Hitex exhibition grounds, has the support of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (a promotional agency under Ministry of Commerce) and Confederation of Indian Food Trade and Industry who will assist in setting up an Indian Export Pavilion for international buyers.

"Players in the international food market are eyeing India as their major destination and this is evident from the interest major companies are showing in taking part in the event. Already, group participation has been announced from Germany, Italy, Singapore and Thailand, while exhibitors from Australia, China and the Netherlands have reserved space," said the organisers.

Apart from the exhibition, new launches and innovations as also high-level technical conferences have been scheduled. Cuisines from all over the world by well-known local chefs will be showcased.
