Ahmedabad , Nov. 19 EFFECTIVE Teleservices Ltd, a Gandhinagar-based business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider, has lined up fresh investments to the tune of $3 million to increase its capacity by 1,000 seats. "We are ramping up our operations, both in India and at our two facilities in the US. After scouting for different locations in India, we narrowed down on Infocity in Gandhinagar to add the additional 1,000 seats," the Effective Teleservices President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr A.C. Smith, told Business Line on Friday. The company, at present, employs about 150 executives at its Gandhinagar facility and is planning to increase the staff strength to 400 in the next two months. It has also booked space for another 1,000 seats at the Infocity in the Gujarat capital. "We have already invested nearly $2 million at the Infocity facility. We now plan to invest an additional $3 million during the next one year. We are offering a wide variety of voice and data services to a host of clients that include Sprint, Bell South, BuyTelco, AOL and Dun Bradstreet (a leading business-to-business data aggregator in the US)," Mr Smith said. The company offers both inbound and outbound voice services, live Web chat and is planning to enter into medical transcription, he added.
