TO give exposure to small and medium knitwear exporters in direct export marketing, the South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association (SIHMA) has teamed up with the Union Government's Textiles Committee to organise a business delegation to Europe in January.

The European business tour by the SIHMA delegation will be guided by the Ahmedabad-based Global Network, a private marketing consultant company. The delegation will visit Germany, the Netherlands and Poland during a ten-day tour of Europe between January 2 and 12.

According to a press release from SIHMA, arrangements have been made for the knitwear producing companies participating in the delegation to take part in the buyer-seller meets to be held in Amsterdam (January 3 and 4), Warsaw (on 6 and 7th of January) and Frankfurt (on 10/11th January).

The organisers of the business tour have set the number of knitwear companies to be accommodated in the delegation at 20 which would be selected on first-come-first-served basis and the trade details could be obtained from the SIHMA, Tirupur (E-mail :sihma@ satyam.net. in).
