KERALA State Venture Capital Fund (KVCF) has extended Rs 2 crore to the Bangalore-based vFortress Network Security Pvt Ltd.

The first round of funding will be utilised by vFortress for its expansion programme and strengthening its hold in the secure remote access field. The company has also planned to set up a development centre at Info Park in Kochi.

KCVF is a close-ended fund conceptualised by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, Kerala Financial Corporation and Small Industries Development Bank of India. VFortress recently announced the global launch of its indigenously developed application security product suite SPAN (seamless private application network).
