Canara Bank, Central Bank hike deposit rates

CANARA Bank has hiked the term deposit rates across all maturities by 25 basis points effective from Monday.

A Canbank release said here on Saturday that it had also introduced a new slab up to 14 days, for a minimum deposit amount of Rs 5 lakh at 3.5 per cent.

Currently, the deposit rate for six months is 4.75 per cent, 5 per cent for one year and 5.5 per cent for three years.

The new rates for the same maturities will be 5 per cent, 5.25 per cent and 5.5 per cent respectively.
