THE National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (Nalsar) University of Law is holding its second annual convocation at the Justice City campus located at Shameerpet near here on Saturday.

The Union Minister for Law, Justice and Company Affairs, Mr H.R. Bharadwaj, will deliver the convocation address, while the Andhra Pradesh Chief Justice and Chancellor of Nalsar, Mr Justice Devinder Gupta and the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, will be present.

In a press release here on Thursday, the university said its students of BA BL (Hons), LLM and several PG Diploma courses would receive degrees and medals at the convocation.

According to the release, Nalsar students secured 10th position among 94 teams from around the world in Jessup International Moot Court competition held in the US this year and reached the finals in the International Environmental Law Arbitration Moot Competition held in Vienna in April this year.

Apart from participating in the Critical Legal Conference 2004 recently, Nalsar students also won the all-India Raj Anand Moot Court Competition on Intellectual Property Rights.

Currently having student and faculty exchange programme arrangements with Griffith University and Western Ontario University, and Kings College London, Nalsar will shortly sign an agreement with New South Wales University of Australia, the release said.
