Financial Performance Corporate Results - IT Training Aptech Q3 net rises 8% Our Bureau
Mumbai , Oct. 31 APTECH Ltd has reported a year-on-year growth of 8 per cent in net profit for its third quarter of the current fiscal on a 6.2 per cent decrease in total income for the same period. Net profit for the quarter amounted to Rs. 4.22 crore, as against Rs. 3.9 crore reported in the same quarter of the previous year. Total income declined to Rs 25.25 crore (Rs 26.91 crore); of this income from operations amounted to Rs 20.18 crore (Rs 26.7 crore), while other income amounted to Rs 5.07 crore (Rs 0.21 crore) consisting mainly of interim dividend from its Chinese venture. According to the company, the figures for the two years are not strictly comparable, since learning services, a division of the company with Rs 5.26 crore as revenues, is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. Total Global income (including that of subsidiaries) rose over 28 per cent to Rs 133.82 crore (Rs 104.22 crore). According to the company, both retail and institutional businesses have showed a marked improvement over the previous months. Total expenditure dipped to Rs 15.97 crore (Rs 19.3 crore). Gross profit at Rs 9.28 crore showed a 21.9 per cent increase. After depreciation of Rs 4.7 crore (Rs 3.33 crore) profit before tax for the quarter stood only marginally higher at Rs 4.58 crore (Rs 4.28 crore).
