BHEL Q2 net up 56%

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has recorded a net profit of Rs 158.2 crore on a sales income of Rs 1913.7 crore during the second quarter for the current fiscal ended September 30, 2004. During the same period last year, the company posted a net profit of Rs 101 crore on an income of Rs 1703.1 crore.

This translates into a 12.3 per cent rise in sales income and a 56.6 per cent rise in net profit.
