Apollo Tyres rolls out Acelere range of tubeless car radials

Vadodara , Oct. 27

THE Rs 2,300-crore Apollo Tyres Ltd is looking to garner a 20 per cent market share in the replacement segment of passenger car radial category by the end of this fiscal.

The launch of H rated Acelere range of tubeless car radials is expected to help the company in achieving this target, say company officials. The market size for replacement segment of passenger car radial category is about 2,80,000 units a month. Apollo Tyres claims that it is currently enjoying 18 per cent share in this segment.

"The Acelere range of tubeless car radials is being offered both for the domestic and the export market. We are looking at Europe as a export destination for our Acelere range," Mr Neeraj Kanwar, Chief Operating Officer, Apollo Tyres, told newspersons here.

The company today launched H rated Acelere range of tubeless passenger car radials catering to select B segment cars and a complete range for the premium C, D & E segments.

Mr Kanwar told newspersons that ATL is targeting a 18-per cent growth in sales turnover for the current fiscal.
