Master plan for Pampa

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, here resolved to prepare a comprehensive master plan incorporating the existing Pampa Action Plan for being submitted to the Centre's consideration within the next month.

An official said here that this was in response to the Centre's directive for a comprehensive master plan, which addressed all issues with a direct bearing on the project.

All construction work connected with the action plan would need to be taken up on prime forestland, necessitating prior approval from the Union Ministry for Forests and Environment.

This is what had occasioned the need for a comprehensive master plan, the spokesman added.
