`Simergence 2004' tomorrow

MUMBAI: Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, a top rung business school in the country, is organising `Simergence 2004' - a corporate event on Wednesday in Mumbai as part of its bid to bridge the gap between the industry and academia.
The event will cover student presentations and panel discussions by eminent industry leaders on contemporary issues of relevance to students as well as practitioners of business management.
The event will have panel discussions on topics such as mergers and acquisitions in the banking industry; role of HR in revenue generation; twin India concept and impact of technology on retail banking in India.
The speakers will include Mr R. Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director, Tata Sons; Mr Deepak Ghaisas, CEO, i-flex Solutions; Mr H.V. Shesadri, CEO, Development Credit Bank; Mr Shailendra Bhandari, Managing Director, Centurion Bank, and Mr B.V.R Subbu, President, Hyundai Motors India Ltd, are among others who will share their views with the participants.
