Research & Development Standard Electricals to upgrade R&D Our Bureau
Kochi , Oct. 18 STANDARD Electricals Ltd, one of the leading companies in the switchgear industry, is planning to upgrade its R&D facilities so as to make a strong presence in the exports market. The company has earned Rs15 crore from exports last year, which is expected to touch Rs 20 crore this year, Mr K.L. Malik, President (Marketing) said at a press meet. At present, the company is exporting to countries such as UAE, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya and Australia, he added. Mr Malik, who was here in connection with technical cum dealers meet, said that the company had achieved a turnover of Rs 100 crore and had also plans to introduce new products such as technically advanced MCCB's (moulded case circuit breaker) which are internationally acceptable. Standard Electricals, part of the Rs 1,000 crore QRG Enterprise, is one of the earliest companies to have entered the Kerala market with innovative products. It has launched improved version of MCB's under the name Star Breaker with the withstanding capacity of 12 KA and few plus features for consistent performance, close protection and long life, Mr Brajesh Mehta, General Manager (Marketing) said.
