The Hindu Business Line : Chris Cairns to endorse Zingaro

MILLENNIUM Alcobev has appointed Chris Cairns, the vice-captain of the New Zealand cricket team, as brand ambassador for its flagship beer brand, Zingaro.

Millennium Alcobev officials expect the new brand ambassador to generate additional sales.

The cricketer is arriving in Mumbai to shoot for the new Zingaro campaign.

The advertising account is handled by Triton Communications.

Commenting on the new brand ambassador, Mr Ravi Kaza, Vice-President (Sales and Marketing), Millennium Alcobev, says, "The competitive world of cricket has many a stalwart who has achieved outstanding feats in the game, but it was Chris Cairns who matched the brand values of Zingaro with precision."

Mr Girish Shah, General Manager (Marketing), Millennium Alcobev, adds, "Zingaro is targeted as the beverage for tough, daring, outdoorsy and rugged males and Chris Cairns fits in well with the brand values of Zingaro which has just gone in for a massive makeover."
