Nasscom, ITAA sign pact on cyber security

NASSCOM and IT Association of America (ITAA) today signed a declaration on cyber security as part of which they would pursue initiatives to enhance collaboration between law enforcement and industry to prevent and prosecute cyber crimes.

The two sides would also work to build systematic collaboration between vendors and customers to secure interoperable government and enterprise information systems through best practices.

It also involves engagement with governments of US and India to offer industry perspectives on data protection and privacy regulations and best practices such as Council of Europe Convention on Cyber Crime.

Other goals of the Delhi declaration signed today include working to develop India-US industry partnership into a broader multinational effort and partnerships to extend the reach of information security training and certification among the IT workforce in the two countries.
