Tata Tele to invest Rs 362 cr more in TN

TATA Teleservices Ltd will invest Rs 362 crore in Tamil Nadu this fiscal.

Tata Teleservices offers telecom service in the State (and in seven other regions) under the brand name `Tata Indicom'. The company had earlier announced that it would invest Rs 1,100 crore in Tamil Nadu.

According to a press release, the company has so far invested Rs 832 crore in the State and "the balance would be invested during the course of this financial year."

Today, the company launched its service in Cuddalore with which Tata Indicom's coverage has touched 80 cities in the State, serving 2.7 lakh customers.
