Conference on HR at Bangalore

Our Bureau

BANGALORE: Nearly 1,000 one thousand delegates including HR practitioners, academicians, industry leaders and students are expected to come together at an international conference being organised by the National HRD Network, India.

The conference, being held between October 19 and 21, at Bangalore, will focus on `Emerging Asia - An HR Agenda.'

Announcing this at a press conference here, Mr R. Vidyasagar, President, National HRD Network, Bangalore Chapter, said: "Asia is a growth engine today and we have many lessons to learn from successes in the continent."

He emphasised that the conference would draw further attention to the current interest that is already being shown in India and China.

The conference, among other things, would capture issues such as the resurgence of the Asian economy, study how the 21st century workforce would look and behave, discuss challenges such as making mergers and acquisitions work, managing diversity in Asia and the role of HR in corporate governance. There would also be a CEO panel discussion on `Global mindset.'
