BIOMETRIC technologies, where biological properties are used to identify individuals, will be discussed at `Global Entrepolis @ Singapore 2004.'

Touted to be the first-ever summit in Asia featuring the world's leading biometric technologies, solutions and products — the one-day conference is slated for October 13 in Singapore.

The event is being organised by one of Asia's providers of biometric solutions, IDLink Systems.

According to a company release, the conference would provide an opportunity for Indian delegates to participate and understand global trends in the sector. Three-dimensional facial recognition technology, worldwide biometric security standards and the fingerprint biometric system will be some of the technologies that will be discussed.

The forum will cover topics on how biometric technologies have been applied in corporate and residential settings.
