Officials visit Halcyon Castle

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Secretary, Mr Babu Jacob, led a high-level official delegation that visited the Halcyon Castle at Kovalam as part of initiating steps to take over the property situated by the side of the erstwhile ITDC beach resort.

An official quoted the Chief Secretary as saying that the visit was aimed at getting an on-hand assessment of the situation and also to work out the nitty-gritty of effecting the takeover. The process for issuing formal orders based on the relevant Cabinet decision had also been set in motion. The orders would be issued at the earliest, the official said.
