AP assurance on fab facility

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Government's efforts to establish a fab foundry to support the semiconductor industry, took another step forward, with the interactions of a Korean entrepreneur, Dr June Min with the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy today.

During the discussions, Dr Min said Government support was necessary to establish the semiconductor industry. This was true in the case of countries like US, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, China and Germany.

The Chief Minister said his Government would make available the required quality infrastructure. Dr Min's visit is part of the Government's effort to establish the manufacturing facility by early 2007, according to an official release here.
