The Chennai-based Hatsun Agroprocures about 10 lakh litres milk a day. Its product range includes Arokya and Komatha brands milk and ice-creams under the brand name Arun. Mr Chandramogan said that Arun ice-creams would soon be exported to Brunei, where a distributor has been identified. By October-end Arun ice-creams will also be available in Seychelles through a franchisee. Addressing the annual general meeting today, he said that during July and August 2004, the company's turnover of Rs 75.50 crore was a 27 per cent increase over the corresponding period in the previous year.
