Parry Confectionery to become Lotte India

PARRY Confectionery Ltd will become Lotte India Corporation Ltd.

The Registrar of Companies, Tamil Nadu, has approved the name change following the acquisition of Parry Confectionery Ltd by Lotte Confectionery of Korea.

The Registrar of Companies has issued a fresh letter of incorporation on September 6, according to information provided by the company to the National Stock Exchange.

Mr N.C. Venugopal, Managing Director, Lotte India Corporation Ltd, said that the first confectionery that would come into the Indian market under the Lotte brand would be bubble and chewing gum. The company is in the process of finalising on the flavour and other details.
