Our Bureau

Chennai , Sept. 15

THE directors of Parry Agro Ltd, a Murugappa group company, have decided to sell off the company's marine alga business, according to information given to stock exchanges.

Officials said that its project to culture the marine alga, dunaliella salina, to extract and market nutritional supplements, did not achieve the levels that the company hoped it would.

It never reached the 100 tonnes of output that was envisaged when the project was conceptualised, they said.
