Water levels decline in Kerala resevoirs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Water levels at the three major reservoirs in the State declined when compared to the respective readings a week ago.

According to figures released by the Central Water Commission, the level declined from 374.77 ft to 373.36 ft at Kallada, 2374.50 ft to 2374.10 ft at Idukki, and 529.07 ft to 525.89 ft at Idamalayar.

However, the respective levels looked up when year-on-year readings were compared among themselves. At Idukki, the level was up by 39.74 ft, Idamalayar 38.98 ft and Kallada, 35.83 ft, the Central Water Commission added.
