CNG supplies not to be hit on protest day: IGL

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Sept. 14

INDRAPRASTHA Gas Ltd (IGL) has said that the supply of compressed natural gas (CNG), the clean automotive fuel, would not be adversely affected on Wednesday in the wake of the proposed `Protest closure day' as declared by the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association for CNG in the capital and Mumbai.

This, an IGL statement here said, is owing to the fact that although 46 out of the 124 CNG stations in the national capital territory (NCT) of Delhi are operated through retail outlets of the oil marketing companies (OMC), the total sales from these vends account for less than even 10 per cent of the total sales.
