AP `Farmers Day' tomorrow

HYDERABAD: Contingency planning and alternate cropping technologies that are suitable for regions facing severe drought in Andhra Pradesh would be explained to farmers from the neighbouring districts of Hyderabad, who are expected to participate in the `Farmers Day', being organised by the Directorate of Oilseeds Research (DOR) on September 11.

State Government officials along with the scientists of DOR would clarify on supply of inputs, subsidies and guide the farmers to tide over the critical situation.

Also, various technologies developed by the Directorate would be on display and explained, according to a press release here.
