Molecular biotech meet in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: `Genetech-2004', a two-day seminar on molecular biotechnology, sponsored by the University Grants Commission (UGC), will be held here between September 8 and 9.

Organised by the Department of Genetics, St. Ann's Degree College, the seminar will focus on the recent developments, applications of molecular biotechnology in health, forensic, plant and animal improvement, according to Dr Shoba Anand, convenor. Topics such as transgenic animals, human genome project, tackling plant and human diseases will also be discussed.
