Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The Generation Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APGenco) has decided to reduce its operation and maintenance (O&M) costs by 15 to 20 per cent in the current year through better management of its inventories and adopting various cost-saving measures, its Managing Director, Mr Ajay Jain, told newspersons here on Thursday.

Mr Jain said that the A.P. Electricity Regulatory Commission had asked APGenco to bring down the O&M costs from Rs 437 crore last year to Rs 387 crore this year but the corporation had decided to reduce the costs further.
