Hyderabad to host bus, truck expo in January

Hyderabad , Aug. 17

ANDHRA Pradesh Expositions Pvt Ltd (APEX), the marketing arm of Hyderabad International Expositions Ltd (Hitex) , and Unitech Exhibitions Pvt Ltd of Chennai will jointly host a three-day bus & truck expo at the Hitex exhibition centre here from January 7, 2005.

According to the Executive Director of Unitech, Mr M. Koteswaran, the expo is expected to have 150 exhibitors in an area of 10,500 square meters. It is likely to attract 6,000 trade visitors from across the country.

Mr Koteswaran told newspersons on Tuesday that the exhibit profile would include all types of commercial vehicles, trucks and bus coach builders, commercial construction vehicles, accessories, commercial automobile components, engine and body parts, tyres and re-treading, service and workshop equipment, material supplies and fleet management system.

The Chief Operating Officer of Hitex, Mr A. Vashishta, said that the exhibition centre would be hosting 19 events in the current year as against 14 events held last year. Accordingly, its turnover this year is expected to cross Rs 7 crore as against Rs 6 crore last fiscal.
