Netafim Irrigation launching short-term product range

Our Bureau

Mumbai , Aug. 17

NETAFIM Irrigation India, the Indian arm of Netafim, is launching a product range for the Indian market under the `Pravin G' name.

The range, developed by Netafim Israel's R&D division, would be manufactured at Netafim India's Vadodara plant.

It is meant to be used for crops over a period of three to five years, compared with the regular products that Netafim manufactures, which last for around 10-15 years in the field.

The company has also launched new dripperline for low-quality water available through open sources such as rivers and canals. This dripperline is more resistant to clogging than any of the similar product available in the country. "We see India as an important market for the drip irrigation business. Launch of these new products would consolidate our presence in the Indian market and will help us in expanding our market share in the country,'' said Mr Zvi Feler, Managing Director, Netafim Irrigation India.
