Design workshop in Madurai

MADURAI: A `Design workshop for readymade garments and textile made-ups' will be held in the city on Saturday. Value addition, productivity increase, sourcing of fabrics, accessories, colour and design forecasting for domestic and export market, use of Internet in designing, design trends and the role of the National Institute of Fashion Technology in the development of the Madurai cluster will be covered in the workshop, according to a press release.

The workshop is organised by the Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (Maditssia), the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT-Chennai), Madurai Textile Committee, Ministry of Textiles, the Government of India and Tamilnadu Readymade Garments Manufacturers Association. It is meant for garment manufacturers, manufacturers of textile made-ups, exporters, designers, students, entrepreneurs and housewives.
