Jurong Intl opens regional office in Hyderabad

Hyderabad , Aug. 6

JURONG International, a wholly owned subsidiary of JTC Corporation of Singapore, has opened its regional office here on Friday. The infrastructure company, which has its presence in 95 major cities in 23 countries, is also planning to set up its offices in Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi shortly.

According to Jurong International President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Goh Song How, Jurong's activities in India are growing "very fast" and at present, the company is involved in projects worth Rs 1,000 crore. The company has established its presence in the country through wholly-owned subsidiary, Jurong India, headquartered at Bangalore.

The Chairman of Jurong Infrastructure (India) Pvt Ltd, Mr Tang Tat Kwong, said that the company's new projects in India included development of the Mumbai Integrated Special Economic Zone at a cost of $3.5 billion.
