HYDERABAD: Granules India Ltd, the Hyderabad-based manufacturer of pharmaceutical formulation intermediates, has recorded a significant growth both in sales turnover and net profit for the first quarter of current fiscal ended June 30, 2004.

As per the unaudited financial results, the company posted gross sales of Rs 29.77 crore against Rs 15.77 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal and a net profit of Rs 1.39 crore (Rs 78.89 lakh) on an equity of Rs 8.3 crore (Rs 7.82 crore)

For the 15-months period ended June, the company posted gross sales of Rs 134.78 crore against Rs 67.55 crore in the previous accounting period and a net profit of Rs 6.91 crore (Rs 3.05 crore).
