Nagarjuna Constn net rises

HYDERABAD: Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd posted a turnover of Rs 233 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004, an 83 per cent jump over Rs 127 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Net profit showed a 94 per cent growth, with Rs 10.15 crore against Rs 5.24 crore previously. Earnings per share (EPS) amounted to Rs 8.85 against Rs 5.55.

According to a press release, during the first four months of the financial year, the company secured fresh orders of Rs 594 crore. After adjusting the orders executed in the first quarter, the order book now stands at Rs 1,866 crore against Rs 1,492 crore as on March 31, 2004.
