Employment Industry & Economy - Social Welfare Quota for the handicapped in Kerala Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Assembly Committee on the Welfare of Women, Children and the Handicapped has directed the State Government to ensure that it observes the reservation norms for handicapped persons in Government appointments. The committee said that the methodology for filling up the vacancies that arose in the districts should be reviewed in such a way that the three per cent reservation in jobs is ensured. It also wanted the reservation benefits to be extended to Class I and II postings from among qualified persons in this category.
