NATCO Pharma Ltd has announced the launch of Chlorambucil in 2 mg and 5 mg tablets form.

The drug, launched under the brand name Clokeran, is useful in the treatment of chronic lymphatic (lymphocytic) leukaemia as well as in malignant lymphomas including lymphosarcoma, giant lymphoma and Hodgkin's' disease.

Lymphoma is a cancer that affects the lymphatic system, which is responsible for maintaining body's immune system. While treatment generally depends on the type of lymphoma, currently only chemotherapy and radiation are available as first line treatments, the company said.
