Broadband Reliance to roll out broadband services early next year Our Bureau
Hyderabad , July 21 RELIANCE Infocomm Ltd has drawn up plans to roll out its broadband services direct to home to be offered across the country early next year. Towards this end, the company is familiarising the usage of broadband services through its chain of over 250 Web World stores. The President of Applications Solutions Group, Reliance Infocomm, Mr Mahesh Prasad, said that the company was in the process of building the necessary infrastructure. Addressing presspersons over a multi-city media conference to announce their Showtime promotional event through the Telugu movie Gharshana, Mr Prasad said the Web World stores had helped people familiarise the usage of broadband services be it video conferencing, video chats or even watching movies or the cricket match. The Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Infocomm, Andhra Pradesh, Mr Balachandran, said that the company had partnered with the Telugu film industry to popularise the usage of Web World. It has offered the trailers of the to-be released Telugu film Gharshana, featuring actor Venkatesh. Under this initiative, users can visit these Web stores and have a glimpse of the movie and also download popular tunes.
