Ashok Shinkar is Pearl Organics Director

PEARL Organics has appointed Mr Ashok Shinkar as Director, Corporate Finance. He has previously worked in investment banking companies such as JM Morgan Stanley and SSKI Corporate Finance.

Pearl Organics is the largest producer of metformin hydrochloride used for diabetes in Asia and has plans to foray into generics soon. It is in the process of setting up a research and development centre at Vashi, after which it plans to rev up its production by another Rs 30 crore in the first year itself.

The company is also in the process of filing about four Drug Master Files in the current fiscal.
