Life Insurance ECS for LIC premium Our Bureau
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will soon launch an electronic clearing services payment facility for its policyholders in cities such as Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai. Customers can use this service to make premium payments and also receive claim settlements from the company, said Mr R.R. Nair, Zonal Manager (in-charge), LIC, at a press conference in the city on Tuesday. The company also plans to construct 140 apartments and two other buildings in Thiruvananthapuram during the current financial year, he said. According to a company press release, the investment in the apartment complex is likely to be around Rs 20 crore, while the two buildings are likely to cost Rs 4 crore each. Work on a 72-apartment building in Kozhikode is nearing completion and the flats will be ready for allotment to prospective buyers by September this year, the release added.
