New Products & Services Corporate - Announcements Voltas cooling range launched in UAE Vimala Vasan
Abu Dhabi , June 28
The UAE-based Al Ghandi Electronics has launched the complete Voltas cooling solutions range, claimed to provide an alternative solution to ordinary cooling products, engineered and manufactured specifically for the local region. Mr Ajay Madnani, Manager, Air-Conditioners, Al Ghandi Electronics, told Business Line that the Voltas products include a premium range comprising window air- conditioners, high wall and ductable splits, slimline & cassette ACs as well as water coolers in various capacities. Mr Madnani said that in three-months' time, plans are on to extend the range by bringing on offer refrigerators, chest freezers, water dispensers and coolers. With nine showrooms and a retail network of 200 dealers, Al Ghandi Electronics is looking to tap good contracts in the retail and bulk sectors. Though it was difficult to estimate the actual size of the AC market in the UAE, as bulk of the products imported are slated for re-export, Mr Madnani indicated that the AC segment in the country last year accounted for overall business to the tune of Dh 1.5 billion. Huge construction projects currently under way in Dubai could translate into bigger demand for cooling solutions, he added. Voltas range of cooling solutions are already present in the Qatar and Kuwait markets and were launched in Oman earlier this year.
