Ceramics Murdeshwar Ceramics net profit rises 60 pc Our Bureau
Bangalore , June 28 RIDING on a real estate boom, Murdeshwar Ceramics recorded an increase of 60 per cent in its net profit for the financial year 2003-04. The company, which recently increased its capacity to meet the growing demand for vitrified tiles, logged a net profit of Rs 12.1 crore for the year as against Rs 4.7 crore in the previous year. Net sales increased by Rs 26.6 crore to Rs 140.1 crore over the previous year's Rs 113.5 crore. The company declared a dividend of Re 1 per share of Rs 10 for the year 2003 04.
During the last quarter of 2003-04, the company's net profit showed a marginal increase to Rs 5.2 crore from Rs 4.57 crore during 2002-03. Its sales were Rs 44.5 crore as against Rs 32.5 crore previously.
