South Indian Bank opens loan counselling centre at Kottayam

KOTTAYAM: A loan counselling centre has been opened at the regional office of the South Indian Bank here. Inaugurating the centre, a novel experiment in banking business, Mr S.M. Desalphine, Chairman, Rubber Board, said the centre would bring ordinary people into a common fold where all the banking services could be made available to them.

The centre will accept different types of loan applications under personal loan segment. The applications will be processed and the loans sanctioned promptly. An extension counter has been setup exclusively for handling the loan component. Using modern technology, the services of the bank will be extended to all sections, said Dr .V.A. Joseph, Executive Director of the Bank.

Those who spoke on the occasion included Mr Gopakumar, Municipal Chairman, Mr C.J. Jose Mohan, AGM and Regional Head of the bank, Mr K.K. Mathew, Manager and Regional Correspondent, and Ms Ajitha Sabu, District Panchayat President.
