Human Resources Adobe India looks to add 100 jobs by December Moumita Bakshi
New Delhi , June 24 ADOBE India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the US-based publishing software major Adobe Inc., plans to hire an additional 100 professionals at its Noida development centre near here by December 2004, taking the overall headcount to 400. "In the last four months, we have grown from 250 professionals to a little over 300 and we plan to grow to 400 professionals by the end of this year," the Managing Director of Adobe Systems India, Mr Naresh Chand Gupta, told Business Line here. The company plans to hire professionals across various product divisions. These include creative professional products, intelligent document, digital imaging and digital video products. "We are also hiring professionals in information systems and internal tool development group," said Mr Gupta. Adobe India has already invested about $12 million (about Rs 5,400 crore) in its development facility at Noida (Uttar Pradesh), in the first phase, to create a 380-seat capacity campus. "The second phase for adding capacity is already under construction and the investments in this phase would be about $10 million," Mr Gupta said. With the second phase, Adobe India expects to increase the capacity of its facility to 800 professionals from the existing 380. "The second phase would be completed by December 2004, but there is no timeframe for us to reach the 800 headcount," he said.
